JIMMY GRANT ROOTS

Jimmy Grant Roots: is a journey into Melbourne’s multicultural music scene, featuring musicians of  Italian, Russian, Jewish, Irish, South American, Armenian, Ghanan, French, Finnish and Chinese heritage performing songs and sounds from their diverse cultural backgrounds.    Acclaimed soul vocalist Carla Troiano - Italy and jazz vocalist Rita Satch - the former USSR, perform in their traditional languages of Italian and Russian/Hebrew they are joined by Armenian drumming powerhouse Ivan Khatchoyan (Cooking on Three Burners) Rapper/Poet RHyNO MC, traditional Ghanan Percussionist Kwame Tosuma, Andean traditional musician Luis Poblet (Chile).  A multicultural musical journey in 6 different languages across 1 dance floor.
